BROOKLYN RURITAN CLUB

Ruritan Club is a national organization dedicated to community service with the purpose of making their area a better place to live and work.  The slogan or Ruritan is Fellowship, Goodwill, and Community Service.  Club membership represents a cross section of the community which the club serves and is available to all persons interested in their community.  Meetings are on the last Wednesday of the month except for December.  Dinner is at 6:30 pm with a meeting to follow. https://sites.google.com/view/brooklynruritan/home

BROOKLYN KIWANIS

Kiwanis Clubs, located in 80 nations, help their communities in countless ways.  Each community's needs are different so each KIWANIS club is different.  By working together members achieve what one person cannot accomplish alone.

BROOKLYN GIRL SCOUTS

The Brooklyn Girl Scouts are led by troop leader Danielle Haines.  Their are approximately 32 girls from K-9 grade.  They meet once a month at the Methodist Church.  Their main fundraising activity is selling girl scout cookies each spring.  Girl Scout Mission: Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.  Girl Scout Law: I will do my best to be honest and fair, friendly and helpful, considerate and caring, courageous and strong, and responsible for what I say and do, and to respect myself and others.  Girl Scout PromiseOn my honor, I will try  To serve God and my country,  To help people at all times, And to live by the Girl Scout Law.

THE AMERICAN LEGION

The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness.  It is the nation's largest wartime veteran's service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans.
