Notary Public Service
Notary public services are available at the City Clerk's office (138 Jackson Street, Brooklyn) during regular office hours. (7:00 - 12:00 and 1:00 - 4:00)
A notary public is a person of integrity appointed by the Secretary of State to serve the public as an impartial and unbiased witness by identifying persons who come before the notary. The most common function or the notary is to prevent fraud by attesting that a person actually signed a document.
Citizens wishing to have documents notarized should bring the unsigned document(s) and a photo ID to the office listed above. Their is no charge for notary service through the City of Brooklyn.
